KITE Victors is Kerala’s own state-run educational entertainment channel, designed for school students, which broadcasts in Malayalam. KITE Victors stands for “Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education”. The channel was launched on 28 July 2005 after the inauguration of India’s first EDUSAT broadband network by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Run by KITE Kerala, a special purpose company under the Department of General Education, it is headquartered in Thiruvananthapuram. The channel initially broadcasts for about 17 hours a day via EDUSAT and GSAT-18 satellites, cable, DTH and later live-streaming.
