FTA Player and FTA Media Server App DOES NOT collect:

2. Mobile App Data Collection (FTA Player / FTA Media Server)
Our Android app collects anonymous, non-personal technical information to improve performance and stability.

We collect:

Random installation ID (generated by the app)
Device model (e.g., Samsung SM-T510)
Android version
App version
Timestamp of app usage
Anonymous crash or error logs

We DO NOT collect:

Name, email address, phone number, contacts

3. Permissions Used by FTAFlix Mobile App

INTERNET: Required for streaming video and network scanning
ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: Required for detecting devices on local network
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required to check connectivity
BILLING: Required for in-app purchases
Camera: Used only if the user enables local media streaming
Microphone: Used only if the user enables screen mirroring or local media streaming

4. Third-Party Services

Google AdMob: Displays ads; may collect device identifiers, Advertising ID, and approximate location
YouTube API: Displays publicly available videos; does not access private user data

5. Important Privacy Note
The app (FTA Media Server / FTA Player) does not collect or transmit your camera or microphone data to our servers. All camera/audio data stays on your device and is used only for streaming or mirroring locally.

4. Local Network Device Discovery

The app scans your local Wi-Fi network to discover compatible SAT-IP or UPnP media servers.

This scanning:

  • Stays within your local network

  • Does not transmit device content to our servers

  • Does not collect personal data

  • Is required for the app’s core streaming functionality

5. Advertising (Google AdMob – Mobile App)

Our mobile application uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.

AdMob may collect:

  • Device identifiers

  • Advertising ID

  • Approximate location (via IP address)

  • Usage data for ad personalization

FTAFlix’s Privacy Policy does not apply to external websites or advertisers.

If you click on a broadcaster’s official website or any external service, their privacy policy applies.

9. Your Data Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

If you are located in the European Union or California, you have the right to:

  • Request deletion of your personal data

  • Object to data processing

We do not sell personal data.

Uses local network scanning for SAT-IP server detection

Accesses camera and microphone only if the user enables local media streaming or screen mirroring
Does not access contacts or precise location
Does not collect sensitive personal data

“Our Android app collects anonymous, non-personal technical information to improve performance and stability. This includes a randomly generated installation ID, device model, Android version, app version, timestamp of app usage, and whether the user has premium access. No personally identifiable information is collected, and all analytics data is anonymous. This data is sent securely to our servers once every 7 days.”
